Leadership Fallback is when a leader “falls back” to an earlier level of development where they cannot access the skills available at their usual level of maturity. Valerie found five overarching causes of fallback including; ordinary triggers, physiological brain responses, contextual gravitational pulls, challenges to identity, and unresolved trauma. The current pandemic may be a trigger for some people.
